Mothering Sunday!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely people who mother your littlies everyday of the year!

Yesterday we had the most peaceful walk to the park, followed by fish and chip supper on the bench watching the sunset, I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed with uni recently, there’s so much going on, and this was so needed!

Diet starts tomorrow! A little late starting (again) I need to get my butt into gear! My best friends are taking me on a spa day next weekend, I can’t wait! But the thought of getting in a bikini.. ahh!! You can lose a stone in a week right?!

Here’s to a pampering, taking it easy week, full with lots of exercise which will release a lot of endorphins & keep my spirits up!

Wishing you so much love & happiness this week, L xx

Welcome Spring

So my life is pretty crazy at the moment, I haven’t had time to read, nor have I had time to catch up on myself, but today is ‘supposed to be’ the first day of Spring! It’s super rainy so I’m catching up on work as I’ve definitely been playing to hard recently!

I had a crazy little breakdown the other day & cleaned & re organised my flat which made me feel so much better! I now have a little chocolate & plant area.. which definitely is a must, it’s making me feel so happy & refreshed every morning.. (although the chocolate is not ok, need a good detox).

*please excuse the fallen fairy lights!*

This weekend was filled with love, laughter & cocktails with my girls, but I’m now excited to focus on myself, my work & my hobbies! Just thought I’d check in, lots of exciting posts coming soon!

*Dress from ASOS, £12*

Milani Conceal & Perfect Review

I hate buying foundations online due to being a very pale, yellow skin tone, so this was a hit & miss, but for £11 I thought I’d give it a go.

Colour match –The colour match is quite lovely, not as good as others I have tried, but probably the best shade I’d get in this company.

First impression –Very thick, only need a small amount, not easy to ‘spread’ across your face, but blends well.

Comparisons –Reminded me of the coverage of Estée Lauder Double Wear, although Milani feels thicker on your face.

Skin type –Very good I’d imagine if you have oily skin, however for my dry skin it seemed to cling to my pores making them look larger, no matter how much primer/ setting powder I used!

Overall –Amazing foundation for the cost, but the shades aren’t incredible, and for dry skin I wouldn’t say it is worth it! But that’s just my opinion, as I know others love it!!

On the hunt to find more foundations to try! I love Mac Studio fix for occasions & I still love kiko hydration for everyday use, what’s your favourites?

Love as always, L xx

Travelling Prague

As we sit in the airport, waiting to board, I write with a heart full of love. Prague was everything and more, beautiful, magical even.

On the first day we arrived about lunchtime ish, got our barings of our hotel & transport and headed into the old town, which was honestly stunning, I feel very lucky to have visited such a beautiful place. We ate, drank & soaked in all the culture, completely in awe of such a beautiful city. Although a little tired, we made the most of the time we had here.

I also tried my very first trdelnik, this would be my first of three the whole trip, I must admit the first one was the best though! We also visited the absintherie and sampled their cocktail selection, all so yummy, as well as looking spectacular!

Day two we visited the castle and the cathedral, the view from walking around the corner to see this beautiful cathedral open up was breath taking.

Every angle of the building was incredible, so of course we had to walk to the top! (Do recommend the view, do not recommend the stairs, very long, very repetitive & very claustrophobic, and also very tiring on my poor legs!)

We then wondered, ate, wondered, walked and found lots of beautiful spots for photo opportunities & soaking in the atmosphere.

We also visited the mirror maze, which I was very disappointed in, there was about 3 turnings, and lots of little children walking about, not the atmosphere I was expecting. The mirrors were fun though!

Day three we did the opposite side of Charles bridge and visited the astronomical clock, which was on my tick list from day one, and that was really amazing, so very clever, a lot of people claim it’s overrated, but I would definitely recommend going, plus the old town square is amazing to be apart of too.

We also did a World War II tour, this was super interesting and we learnt a lot, especially from a different countries stories!

Fast forward a lot more walking, King Wenceslas Square & more food, and our last day was up.

There is nothing I have wished I’d done, nothing I regret doing, only wish I could stay longer! Truly stunning, truly beautiful, I already can’t wait to return!

On to the next trip!

Thanks for reading, love as always, L xx

P.S 21 tomorrow ! Ahh!!

Prague is calling

Okay, so I go to Prague in 2 days! I cannot wait! My birthday celebrations start then too, which is so exciting! But first Prague!

Prague has been on my bucket list for years, it’s always been one of those places I search and search on Pinterest, that and New York anyway! So you can imagine my excitement!

I’ve been packing since Monday, and searching the best places to eat, see & just take in sights. These are my favourite links, and on my todo list!

8 things you must do
Top 10 things to do for first timers!
So my packing.. because it’s going to be so cold …

I’ve packed warm, yet pretty!

(We have a hot tub! So prettiest bikini.. yes!)

Cute, warm PJs
Prettiest skirt with a super warm roll neck
Warm, cute jumper & staple denim black skirt
Same black skirt.. (trying to pack light!) and cute stripped top
ALL BLACK EVERYTHING.. Coated black jeans, roll neck & layered pretty top

So I’m all packed & ready and so excited! Let me know if you have any recommendations! There will be no Sunday post as I will be away still! Next time I write a post, I’ll be 21!

So much love for the next week, L xx
